Green Guard will neutralize alkalinity and also assist in reducing wicking and even works as an acid rinse at 1-2 oz per gallon.
Green Guard protector dilutes at 9:1 as a protector. This means one RTU gallon diluted will cover 6,000 square feet, making Green Guard an incredible value in addition to providing effective, lasting protection.

A: No. The makeup of Green Guard is different than that of encapsulating cleaners. Green Guard provides protection from soiling and staining, whereas encapsulation cleaners remove soils and oils in addition to removing residue (at least the better products) via a more immediate encapsulation. Also, better encaps will help carpet maintain appearance, but Green Guard extends the length of protection in addition to it’s ability to dye block.
